About Your Session

The most important thing about our session is to make your child comfortable and to have fun. We can do in studio portraits or on location sessions. I really suggest that for any children older than a year that we get outside and get them relaxed and having fun. Please do not be afraid to let your child run, dance, sing, laugh or goof off.

Most sessions typically last between 1- 2 hours. On location sessions are primarily captured with natural light. Because of this, these sessions need to be scheduled for either early morning or later in the afternoon. In studio sessions use professional lighting and are offered in my home. I offer a variety of backgrounds and some props. If a favorite blanket or stuffed animal will help your child relax however, then we can certainly attempt to incorporate those into the portraits.

Murfreesboro Photographer | Senior Rep Zach

May. 10th 2010

Alright, so you know what’s NOT easy? Finding upcoming senior GUYS that want to have MORE than ONE session for their senior pictures! But luckily, I’ve got a few cards to play with this cute guy and he willingly signed up as a senior rep. Let’s face it, he’s cute and he knows it so he has no problem showing it off a little extra. ;) Enjoy!

By the way, this rep is another one from LaVergne High School.   So if you want a session with me, be sure to find Zach for some referral cards!

Murfreesboro Photographer | Senior Rep Eva

May. 10th 2010

Another Senior Rep and another beautiful girl!  I’m loving all of these gorgeous, fun, confident young ladies that have chosen to be a representative for Whitehill Photography!  This rep is Eva from Lavergne High School.  I have to say, I graduated from Lavergne, once upon a time, so I have a special place in my heart for those seniors.  Remember, if you are an upcoming senior and are thinking about what you might want to do for your senior pictures, ask Eva (or another rep) for a card and get free wallets out of it!  On to the preview!  We had some wild winds on our night but they really just added to the fun.  Enjoy

Okay and the last three… I just couldn’t decide between.  I loved all three of them sooo much, you get to see them all!

Murfreesboro Senior Portrait Photographers | Senior Rep Lauren!

May. 1st 2010

Another “senior rep” tonight and man oh man, did we have a beautiful night!  Enter Lauren, an upcoming senior at Siegel High School.    Lauren is really your All American girl and we wanted her session to highlight that.  She’s fun, beautiful girl with a smile that makes YOU want to smile!  We had some good laughs as we traipsed around (and left our chair randomly hanging out).  I’m excited for all these juniors as they approach their senior year.  And even MORE excited for me because I get to photograph them ALL again! :)    Remember, ask Lauren for a card if you want to get free prints from your senior pictures!  Enjoy!

And last but not least… an image that I had to show in both black and white AND color! I couldn’t choose! :)

Murfreesboro Photographers | Senior Rep Karen!

Apr. 29th 2010

And its finally begun, my official senior rep season!  If the rain will just HOLD off, we’ll be fitting quite a few of these in the next few weeks.  For those of you who may not know, let me explain what I mean by a “senior rep session”.  I was contacted by several juniors this year all who are positive they want their senior pictures to be something new and different.  So, that’s where I step in.  These “reps” are getting a free session this spring and they’ll get their own “rep cards” to hand out.  Each one of those cards give the receipt a credit with me, if they were to book.  AND if any of those seniors book with me, the “rep” gets credit towards prints for their full session!  Its a really fun program and I adore working with all the fun upcoming seniors!

Now, on to Karen!  Karen is a Junior this year at Siegel High School.  She’s a super sweet girl with a gorgeous smile.  She’s also amazing with kids so if any of you parents are looking for a babysitter, let me know!  Enjoy the images from her rep session:

Murfreesboro Photographer | He ain’t heavy…

Apr. 17th 2010

He’s my brother!

That’s right… MY little brother (well one of them, I have two!) is featured in a BIG way on the blog tonight.  He’s 18 and going to be graduating very very soon.  We were slated to do his senior pictures in the fall but well, things just didn’t happen that way.  So here he is.  I remember SOOO vividly the day he was born (10 weeks premature, might I add… which was alot back then).  I remember going to see him every day in the NICU while he grew strong enough to come home.  I remember watching him grow, going to little league games, wanting to beat up little kids who weren’t nice to him.  I CAN NOT BELIEVE HE IS GETTING READY TO GRADUATE!  How is that even possible?? I feel like it wasn’t that long ago I GRADUATED!  And here is someone, who is almost like my OWN child, and he’s graduating.  I love him dearly, he means the world to me and I hope he LOVES his senior pictures.    So I’ll leave you to the pictures… and maybe a little from The Hollies.  Enjoy!

The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where
Who knows where

But I’m strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother

So on we go

His welfare is of my concern
No burden is he to bear
We’ll get there

For I know
He would not encumber me
He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother

If I’m laden at all
I’m laden with sadness

That everyone’s heart
Isn’t filled with the gladness
Of love for one another

It’s a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we’re on the way to there
Why not share

And the load
Doesn’t weigh me down at all
He ain’t heavy he’s my brother

He’s my brother
He ain’t heavy, he’s my brother

I’m so proud of you Shaker-ton.

Congratulations

I love you and am always here for you!

More of THIS beautiful senior! | Murfreesboro Photography

Sep. 29th 2009

YAY! I finally got to meet up again with K and her mom for our add-on session.  We didn’t quite have time to fit in EVERYTHING we wanted to do with her first session so here we are.  We had to reschedule several times to make this happen but man the weather today was BEAUTIFUL!  We met up in Murfreesboro, in some great fields for this session.  K has such a fun style, we wanted to celebrate more of that! Thanks guys for dealing with me even when I was sick and probably a little loopy from the cold medicine!  This is just the TIP of the iceberg of the amazing images from tonight, enjoy!

Sep. 7th 2009

I met with this beautiful girl here in Murfreesboro, TN.  She’s a unique girl with a style that is ALL her own.  I love that she’s not afraid to be a little different and I think it shows in this sneak peak!  Together with her mom, we had a blast in my studio and then roaming the streets of Murfreesboro.  We’ve got more planned for another mini-session so you’ll get to see more of her soonMurfreesboro Senior Photography

Siegel High Senior Pt 2 | Murfreesboro, TN Senior Portraits

Aug. 27th 2009

This Siegel High beauty is back! We went out for a few more portraits tonight but it rained BIG time! We still managed to get some great images, even if we were hiding under porches at Cannonsburg!  This beauty and her mom are alot of fun and I know I had a blast, despite the rain.  Only one of these images are actually from tonight’s session but maybe that just means I get to show MORE later!

Beautiful Senior Alert! | Murfreesboro TN Senior Portrait Photographer

Aug. 26th 2009

Today I photographed this beautiful senior girl!  We started off here in my studio, then moved onto the Murfreesboro City Square.  We had plans to make it to one more location but a sudden rain shower put those plans on hold.  Instead, we’ll be meeting again tomorrow, yay!  We had a great time exploring the square, her mom was an AWESOME assistant and the rain shower just cooled us off a bit.  Isn’t she just gorgeous?
